Bio

I'm an aspiring age-group triathlete with a lot of potential and I'm working with Third Coast Training to help bring out my best. I only began running in 2001 (at age 22) and began participating in local road races in 2005. In 2009 I decided to try my luck at triathlons and loved it. In 2010 I competed in my first Ironman Triathlon in Louisville, KY and found finishing it the ultimate sense of accomplishment. Since then, I have started working closely with Johnny at Third Coast Training to train smarter and capitalize on the potential that is evident from my fitness testing. Fitness testing with Johnny has helped me focus on the most important aspects of my training and reveal the effectiveness of my training strategy. As is evident from my race highlights below, training on my own without guidance left my performances stagnant and average from year to year. Over the next several years, I plan to keep climbing the age group ladder and will be looking to Johnny at Third Coast Training for his invaluable guidance. My short-term goal is to break 5 hours in a 70.3 half Ironman and my long-term goal is to qualify for the Kona Ironman World Championships.
