What is a recovery week?
A recovery week is a period of reduced training intensity and volume of about 50%.

When and why?
Planning these periods every 3 to 6 weeks allow the nervous system, muscular system,
endocrine system, and connective tissue to fully recover and adapt following training.

The end result?
Following a planned recovery week athletes are mentally refreshed and physically capable of doing more work.

A good recovery only takes your training to a higher level.
